Healthy School Action Tool (HSAT)
The Healthy School Action Tool (HSAT) was developed to help schools assess whether their school environment offers consistent messages about the importance of healthy eating, physical activity and a tobacco-free lifestyle and opportunities for students to make healthy choices. HSAT is found at www.mihealthtools.org. HSAT may also be helpful in writing the district local wellness policy. To obtain input from your middle/igh school students to help complete HSAT see the Student Health Survey.
Trained HSAT Facilitators
Michigan Action for Healthy Kids has trained HSAT facilitators during the
past year. If your school is interested in completing HSAT with the help of
an "outside" facilitator click
here for individuals willing to facilitate a school. Please note these
facilitators are willing to work with schools in their area scheduling permitting.
